Weil heavy duty submersible sewage and drainage pumps are tested and accepted by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., for class 1 group C&D applications such as:
- Handling of sanitary waste where motors certified suitable for operation in hazardous locations are required by state or local ordinances
- Where job conditions are such to require safety precautions
- Pumps located in or near garages in apartments and office buildings
- Outdoor installations in oil tank farms
- Boiler rooms where fuel, etc. might drain into sumps
- Manufacturing plants where machine oil and other explosive matters might reach the clear drainage sump
- Aboard ships where safety and space savings are exceptionally important
- Airports, munitions plants, missile sites, parking lots or similar installation with explosive potentials
